From the developer:
Aloud is a native Mac app that reads text out loud while highlighting each word as it's spoken.
Select text in any app and press Control-Option-S, or use Read with Aloud in the Services menu. Aloud also reads PDFs (skipping running headers, footers and page numbers), screenshots, images and scanned pages with on-device text recognition, and the article on the front tab of Safari, Chrome, Edge or Brave.
You may want to check out more Mac applications, such as Lyttony, Text FM or NewsLife, which might be related to Aloud.
