DeleteCTX
Description
DeleteCTX 1.1 for Mac was available to download from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available.
Please check the Mac app with an antivirus before launch as it is downloaded from the developer's website, and we cannot ensure that it is safe. The software lies within System Tools, more precisely File Managers. This free Mac application is a product of Josh Aas.
From the developer:
DeleteCTX is an open source cocoa droplet designed to help you remove the creator and the type from files on HFS(+) volumes. Doing so forces Mac OS X to interpret a file's type by looking at its file extension. However, you need to remove the creator type in order for the .dat file to function properly.
You may want to check out more Mac applications, such as WheresTheFreeSpace, which might be similar to DeleteCTX.
