Connect Canon DSLR cameras to a Mac. Gain access to camera software components and view detailed statistics on the use, load and current settings, including its serial number, shutter count, taken and remaining shots, battery level, remaining working time, etc.
EOS Inspector 2.0 for Mac was available to download from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available.

This free Mac app is an intellectual property of Konstantin Pavlikhin. The most popular version of the program is 1.0. This free application works fine with Mac OS X 10.9 or later. EOS Inspector for Mac belongs to System Tools.

Whether you are buying a used Canon EOS camera or just giving attention to your existing photo gear, it is sometimes useful to know how many shots a particular camera has taken.
The modern DSLR’s shutter has pretty big, but still limited resource, that varies in 100,000–150,000 shots range. Unfortunately, for some reason Canon decided to hide the diagnostic info from user’s eye.
That’s where EOS Inspector comes into play.
You may want to check out more software for Mac, such as EOS Utility, EOS Capture or Library Inspector, which might be similar to EOS Inspector.
