F.lux
Description
Adjust the color of your computer's display based on the time of day. It provides a warm tone at night and mimics sunlight during the day to reduce eye strain. Have you ever noticed the blue glow from people texting at night? Improve your sleep by reducing exposure to bright light before bed.
You can download F.lux 42.2 for Mac from our software library for free. The current setup file available for download occupies 2 MB on disk. The program lies within Theming Tools, more precisely Icons & cursors. This free Mac application is a product of David Santiago. This Mac download was scanned by our antivirus and was rated as virus free. The following versions: 30.0, 17.0 and 11.0 are the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users.
From the developer:
f.lux makes the color of your computer's display adapt to the time of day, warm at night and like sunlight during the day. Ever notice how people texting at night have that eerie blue glow?
Or wake up ready to write down the Next Great Idea, and get blinded by your computer screen?
During the day, computer screens look good-they're designed to look like the sun. But, at 9PM, 10PM, or 3AM, you probably shouldn't be looking at the sun.
You may want to check out more software for Mac, such as LUXOR: 5th Passage, Trapcode Lux or Lux Delux, which might be similar to F.lux.
