Description
A user-friendly graphical interface for fluidsynth. It is written in C++ using the Qt4 toolkit and Qt Designer. While currently it primarily functions as a wrapper for FluidSynth, it has the potential to develop into a comprehensive softsynth management application.
Downloading qsynth 0.3.6 for Mac from the developer's website was possible when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available. Qsynth is a fluidsynth GUI front-end application written in C++ around the Qt4 toolkit using Qt Designer. Eventually it may evolve into a softsynth management application allowing the user to control and manage a variety of command line softsynth but for the moment it wraps the excellent FluidSynth.
FluidSynth is a command line software synthesizer based on the Soundfont specification.
You may want to check out more Mac applications, such as wxFormBuilder, Jaxe or AlphaX, which might be similar to qsynth.
