Quassel IRC
Description
The 0.10 version of Quassel IRC for Mac was available to download on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available.
Please check the Mac app with an antivirus before launch as it is downloaded from the developer's website, and we cannot ensure that it is safe. The most frequent installer filename for the program is: quasselclient_macosx-unive.dmg.
The following version: 0.8 is the most frequently downloaded one by the program users. The application lies within Communication Tools, more precisely Texting & Video calls. The software can also be called "Quassel Client". This free Mac app was originally developed by Quassel IRC Team.
From the developer:
Quassel IRC is a modern, cross-platform, distributed IRC client based on the Qt4 framework. Distributed means that one (or multiple) client(s) can attach to and detach from a central core that stays permanently online, much like the popular combination of screen and a text-based IRC client such as WeeChat, and similar to (but much more featureful than) so-called BNCs.
You may want to check out more Mac applications, such as Mango IRC - Chat client, IRC or SKOM's IRC Server status, which might be similar to Quassel IRC.
