SecureHome
The 3.0 version of SecureHome for Mac was available to download on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available. The program is categorized as Lifestyle Tools. This app works fine with Mac OS X 10.7 or later.
This software for Mac OS X was originally designed by Stephen Arrowsmith. According to the results of the Google Safe Browsing check, the developer's site is safe. Despite this, we recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus software. The most popular versions among the program users are 4.0 and 2.0.

SecureHome lets you use your Mac as a home security system. Using either your Macs built-in microphone, or an external microphone, SecureHome will listen for potential intruders. If an intruder is heard, SecureHome will sound an alarm and email an alert to your smartphone. Using the free SecureHome iPhone remote controller, and your Dropbox account, you can also view a video stream inside your home, and arm/disarm SecureHome using your iPhone!
