Soundcast is a Mac OSX Menubar application that allows you to cast system audio to Chromecast. The app has only 3 buttons: start casting, stop casting, reset audio adapter. This app has dependencies that only work on NodeJS v0.10 (.38 and over), and uses Electron.

Couldn't get it to do anything. Installation went ok. Test sounds worked ok. Casting audio thru Quicktime or iTunes via soundcast/sunflower resulted in no sound at all.
Found out the problem. Sound preferences for input volume have to be set to Max - full-on. If left in the mid-range default, you won't hear anything.
Great app. It might take a bit to install, but it improves your Hi-Fi Mac experience very significantly.
