We recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus. This free Mac app is a product of Mark Taylor, Astrophysics Group, Physics Department, Bristol University. TOPCAT for Mac is included in Design & Photo Tools. The most popular version among the application users is 4.1.

TOPCAT is an interactive graphical viewer and editor for tabular data. Its aim is to provide most of the facilities that astronomers need for analysis and manipulation of source catalogues and other tables, though it can be used for non-astronomical data as well.
You may want to check out more software for Mac, such as topCAD, which might be similar to TOPCAT.
