A file compression and archive utility designed to create smaller archives than your typical Finder's Compress tool. Built on the bzip2 command line tool for Mac OS X, the app also offers the convenience of creating Windows-safe archives without the annoying ._ files. With the flexibility to save archives in a location of your choice, it is your go-to compression solution.

From the developer:
Bezipped is a file compression and archive utility built on top of the bzip2 command line tool that comes with Mac OS X. In general, Bezipped creates smaller archives than those generated by Finders Compress functionality. Couple that with the fact that Bezipped also allows you to create Windows safe archives (archives without the dreaded ._ files), and the ability to put archives where you choose, and youve got a one stop compression shop.
You may want to check out more Mac applications, such as QXmlEdit, Compress PDF or Password Zipper Lite, which might be similar to Bezipped.
