The 0.9.9 version of pydicom for Mac is provided as a free download on our software library. The application is included in Education Tools. The latest setup file that can be downloaded is 586 KB in size. Our antivirus check shows that this Mac download is safe. This free Mac app was originally created by Darcy Mason.

pydicom is a pure python package for working with DICOM files. It was made for inspecting and modifying DICOM data in an easy "pythonic" way. The modifications can be written again to a new file.
As a pure python package, pydicom can run anywhere python runs without any other requirements, although NumPy is needed if manipulating pixel data.
pydicom is not a DICOM server and is not primarily for viewing images.
