Download of TwitterBackup 3.2.8 for Mac was on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available. Please check the Mac app with an antivirus before launch as it is downloaded from the developer's website, and we cannot ensure that it is safe. The program is included in System Tools. TwitterBackup.py is a simple script to create a full archive of a user's unique Twitter activity:
- Tweets
- Sent Direct Messages (DMs)
- Received DMs
TwitterBackup (currently) fetches the password for the account from the Mac OS X keychain, by looking for an "Internet password" entity with a host containing "twitter.com" and an account name matching the given username.
You may want to check out more software for Mac, such as SimpleSync, Titan4 or iSauvegardes, which might be similar to TwitterBackup.
