iScherlokk
Description
A lightning fast file search utility and comparison tool that outperforms Spotlight in speed and accuracy. It searches through real files, not just an index, ensuring all files are included in the search. The clean and intuitive interface makes it easy to find music, pictures, documents, and more on any volume or network drive. It can even find hidden or system files that are not indexed by the OS.
iScherlokk 5.4 for Mac could be downloaded from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available. The application lies within System Tools, more precisely File Managers. The actual developer of this Mac application is Naarak Studio. We recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus.
From the developer:
iScherlokk is a lightning fast file search utility and file comparison tool. It performs two fundamental functions, and it performs them extremely well. Why use iScherlokk rather then Spotlight: Extremely fast search engine finds your files quicker than competition iScherlokk searches through 'real' files instead of the Spotlight's index. The index is not always up to date and does not contain all files.
You may want to check out more Mac applications, such as iScherlokk Lite, which might be similar to iScherlokk.
