Screenshot collage for Babylon

Babylon allows you to get an instant text translation from one of 17 languages into another.

You just have to click a word in the text and specify the pair of languages. The relevant passage will be translated by the program.

At the present moment we can’t expect a perfect text translation when we deal with artificial intelligence, so don’t expect an absolutely correct text translation from Babylon. However, this tool can be quite handy for example when you don’t know some language at all but need to grasp at least the main idea.

Babylon is also attractive because it not only performs a text translation but also provides a simultaneous access to dictionaries installed on your computer as well as to popular online dictionaries and encyclopedias. When you click a word you get entries from different sources, this may be a translation or a definition of the word or even an article.
