Cinavia protection is a nuisance for people who try to backup their Blu-Rays and DVDs only to find out later once the original is damaged that Cinavia on their backups will cause muted playback and a Cinavia protection note on their screens. The same fate is shared by viewers who download movies from Cinavia-infested torrents and end up getting frustrated with the unusable content.
