First and foremost, DBGallery is a database application used to store data about images. As shown in the screenshot below, DBGallery includes a viewer, which shows the image and its data, reports, statistics, a website and email generation subsystems, and a main search window with a folder tree view and thumbnails. These features come naturally to a system with a database backend. One doesn’t just key data and use it temporally.
