DVTool
Downloading DVTool 2.1 from the developer's website was possible when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. The most popular versions among the program users are 2.1, 2.0 and 1.0.
The software lies within System Utilities, more precisely Device Assistants. The actual developer of the free program is DVDongle. The latest version of DVTool is supported on PCs running Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10/11, 32-bit. The program's installer file is generally known as DVTool.exe. We cannot guarantee that the program is safe to download as it will be downloaded from the developer's website. Before launching the program, check it with any free antivirus software.

The DV Dongle connects to your PC or Apple Mac via a USB port and provides encoding and decoding of compressed audio using the DVSI AMBE2000 full duplex vocoder DSP chip. AMBE technology is used in all D-Star radios to provide efficient voice transmissions. It is also used in some HF digital protocols by vendors like AOR.
