Exposure Planner is a plug-in for MaxIm DL that allows you to inspect an area of an image and determine how many exposures you will need to reduce the noise to an acceptable level.
To use this utility, select the area you want to measure. Set the "Desired Signal to Noise Ratio" to indicate the amount of noise you are willing to tolerate in that area. The utility will tell you how many pictures to take and how log it will take to do that.
