Foto Filer was developed out of the need to provide meaningful names to photos captured and then downloaded from digital cameras to the PC. No commercially available software provides such a simple way to assign a name to a photograph as the Foto Filer approach does. And Foto Filer does not utilize a proprietary software database allowing the user to share a renamed photo with someone on another computer.
