I had difficulty the first time I tried it, but now I am very satisfied. For beginners, it is better to set to a faster wpm than speed, so that there is more time between each letter / number to recall it. We can select characters, under the "source" tab. I chose the letters F,J,L,Q,W,Y, which I have more difficulty with, and after just several tries, I already made some progress.
The good point first:
The program installation is fast and easy, even with Windows XP.
Now the bad points:
I am a beginner, the minimum speed (5 wpm) is already too fast for me, the program doesn't accept that I enter 3 wpm. Also the pause /stop buttons doesn't work instantly, I cannot use them to pause the machine. I would also like to have the option to choose which letters to practice, those which I have difficulty with or that I often confuse, but there is no such option.
I cannot use that program to begin to learn.
Marc, I suggest that you always try to copy at a speed that is a little too fast for you. Always write down your copy with a typewriter type of instrument (word processor) or a pencil and paper. Don't be frustrated that you con't get a solid copy at first. With time speed will come. 73, Bill
