From the developer:

LedgerLite is an accounting system for any organization that needs a general ledger or cashbook. Because it is incredibly easy to download and use, it will also appeal to students of double-entry bookkeeping. LedgerLite provides unparalleled flexibility. All account balances are calculated dynamically so that the standard accounting reports can be created for any arbitrary date or period without the need for a period close or roll-over.

You may want to check out more software, such as Accounts and Budget Free, Comperio or ACT! Link for Peachtree, which might be related to LedgerLite.

I have been using Ledger Lite for over two years for a small non for profit club and have found it to be an excellent substitute for I-Cloud with respect to on going costs. Initially, during my learning curve I received prompt and helpful responses to my queries from the company and would recommend this programme. (Perhaps, in the future Ledger Lite will incorporate a “Mail” function.)
