MultiRes, developed by EnTech Taiwan, is a powerful and efficient System Optimization tool that falls under the System Utilities category. The latest version, 1.58, is especially notable for its lightweight nature, with the program file size being just 100 KB. Supported on a broad range of operating systems, from Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10, and 11, MultiRes has evolved significantly from its earlier versions, which include 1.5, and 1.0.

Primarily, MultiRes acts as a modern adaptation of the Microsoft QuickRes 16-bit applet designed for Windows 95. It integrates administrative scripting capabilities and improved functionalities, such as handling ClearType, refresh rates, and managing multiple monitors. Users can access all available resolution and refresh rates either through a command-line interface or a simple and intuitive menu that appears from the system tray. This functionality greatly enhances user convenience, especially when multiple screen configurations must be managed.

One of the standout features is the optional timed confirmation prompt enabled by default in the program About box. This ensures that any changes made to display settings can be reversed without any hassle, maintaining a safe and user-friendly experience.
