Preston is located on the West Coast Main Line approximately halfway between London and Glasgow. Five main routes converge in the area. In addition to the WCML, there are the East Lancs Line, Ormskirk Branch, the Fylde Line from Blackpool and the Central Lines from Manchester. Preston station's 9 platforms and the 5 major junctions in the area ensure hours of enjoyable operating. Preston is one of the Modern Series simulations.
