PyLith is a finite element code for the solution of dynamic and quasi-static tectonic deformation problems.
New features include dynamic fault interfaces using fault constitutive models, a Drucker-Prager elastoplastic 3D bulk rheology, a lumped system Jacobian formulation for explicit time stepping, and a total Lagrangian small strain elasticity formulation.
