RKit-STM8 for Ride7 was developed to work on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 or Windows 11 and can function on 32-bit systems. The program's installer files are generally known as Ride7.exe or RScript.exe etc. RKit-STM8 for Ride7 lies within Development Tools, more precisely IDE.

RKit-STM8 offers supports for the following STMicroelectronics families:
- STM8S general purpose microcontrollers,
- STM8L low-power microcontrollers,
- STM8A automotive-grade microcontrollers,
- ST7 general purpose microcontrollers.
- ST7 general purpose microcontrollers based on the ICC programming protocol (such as ST72C subfamily).
- ST7 devices based on the ISP programming protocol are NOT supported.
