There was a download of Snare 4.7.9 on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available.
According to the results of the Google Safe Browsing check, the developer's site is safe. Despite this, we recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus software. The default filename for the program's installer is Snare.exe. The software relates to System Utilities. The most popular versions of the tool are 4.7, 4.3 and 4.2. This PC software works fine with 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows XP/XP Professional/Vista/7/8/10/11. The actual developer of the software is InterSect Alliance.

Snare provides front end filtering, remote control, and remote distribution for Windows Event Log data. Snare Agent interacts with the underlying Windows Eventlog subsystem to facilitate remote, real-time transfer of event log information; Log data is converted to text format, and delivered to a remote Snare Server, remote SIEM server or to a remote Syslog server with configurable and dynamic facility and priority settings.
