SoftCollection Security System

SoftCollection Security System, now in its latest version 1.129.043, is developed by SoftCollection and available for the supported OS Windows XP, Vista, 10, and 11. This program falls under the category of Office Tools with a subcategory of Timekeeping.

SoftCollection Security System software turns your PC into a security system, providing robust protection for homes or offices from unwanted intruders. One of the standout features is its ease of installation—no additional hardware is required, making it highly accessible and user-friendly. Utilizing the parallel port of a PC, the system offers 13 inputs that can be connected through 500 Ohm resistors to buttons. Once a button is pressed or released, depending on the chosen option, the system triggers a sound alarm, displays the event's location on a plan picture, shows a detailed event description on the screen, logs the event, and even sends a notification to a specified email address. This email could be directed to another computer, a police office, or even a mobile phone.

If the PC has two built-in parallel ports (note that USB-to-Parallel devices are not supported yet), up to 26 sensors can be connected. Each sensor can be a push button or a reed switch installed on doors or windows.

There are several benefits of using SoftCollection Security System, such as its ability to remember location, size, and user preferences. However, it requires Net Framework 2.0 to operate.

Pros:

• Easy to install with no additional hardware needed.
• High scalability with the ability to connect up to 26 sensors.
• Detailed event logging and email notifications enhance security.

Cons:

• USB-to-Parallel devices are not yet supported.
• Requires Net Framework 2.0 to function.
