Analyze the frequencies of a sound using the spectrogram for an audio file. Browse Lib, GTK+, Cairo, Pango, FFmpeg, and other types of libraries. Upload an audio file and have a spectrogram automatically generated in the primary panel. Export the result as a PNG file.

Spek 0.8.2 could be downloaded from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. This free tool was originally developed by Alexander Kojevnikov. The most popular versions of the tool are 0.8, 0.7 and 0.6.

The most frequent installation filenames for the software include: Spek Mac.exe and spek.exe etc. We cannot guarantee that the program is safe to download as it will be downloaded from the developer's website. Before launching the program, check it with any free antivirus software. The program lies within Multimedia Tools, more precisely Editors & Converters. This PC software can be installed on 32-bit versions of Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10/11.

From the developer:

Spek (IPA: /spɛk/, ‘bacon’ in Dutch) helps to analyse your audio files by showing their spectrogram. Spek is free software available for Unix, Windows and Mac OS X.

Supports all popular lossy and lossless audio file formats thanks to the FFmpeg libraries.
Ultra-fast signal processing, uses multiple threads to further speed up the analysis.
High number of frequency bands for the best spectrogram quality.

You may want to check out more software, such as Digital Media Converter, MOV to AVI MPEG WMV Converter or ImageMixer for Sony DVD Handycam, which might be similar to Spek.

Good, but I found 2 bugs:
-It inflates the chart compared to the time ruler.
-Edited flac files can be rejected.
