TRENDS
There was a download of TRENDS 3.0 on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. The program's installer files are commonly found as launcher Mutrends.exe, Trend.exe, TRENDS.EXE or TrendsLoader.exe etc.
This free program was originally created by Southwest Fisheries Science Center. The following versions: 3.0 and 1.0 are the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users. TRENDS relates to System Utilities. We recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus.

TRENDS is a program designed to carry out a power analysis of linear regression, particularly in the context of monitoring populations in wildlife studies. TRENDS summarizes the power analysis in 5 parameters: duration of study, rate of change, precision of estimates, alpha (type 1 error rate), and power (1-beta, where beta is the type 2 error rate). The value of any one of these can be estimated if the other 4 are specified.
