TagExplorer
Review
If you're a big fan of music and want to see your media collection nice and tidy with all the ID3 tags accurate and detailed, then you may have a look at TagExplorer. This application will help you edit or replace the information in your music files as well as convert between ID3 versions.
Unfortunately, it happens rather often that some popular media players may provide wrong tags and mess up the artists, the titles and the album pictures of the songs. It happened rather often to me, that is why I prefer to edit the information myself. With the help of TagExplorer you can edit the general information about the song as well as some rather specific things.
In the General section you can edit the main information, such as the name, the artist and the number of the track, the title and the year of the album and so on, the Extended and Additional sections will offer you to edit much more specific information such as the composer and publisher of the track or the original artist or lyricist which is helpful in case of cover songs. And the self-explaining Lyrics and Pictures sections will help you add the lyrics of the song and the album cover. You can edit each track separately or several of them at ones, if they should contain some identical pieces of information.
What I like about this program is its easy-to-use and quite nice interface. The program is rather specific as it appeals to users who edit the music information manually and the program provides a great deal of fields you can fill in. The application will not do anything for you automatically which means that you will have to write or paste lyrics, album covers and the other information by yourself. But If you don't trust any software of server to do it for you (as they tend to provide wrong tags rather often), then TagExplorer is a nice choice.
