Talking Caller ID
I recently subscribed to the Talking Caller ID service and I'm really impressed with how easy it is to use. The animated talking characters are a great way to identify who is calling before I answer the phone. I also appreciate that I can work with two phone lines simultaneously and receive notifications via e-mail. The size of the notification window can be easily adjusted and the pronunciation of words can be modified. Overall, this is a great service and I highly recommend it.

Talking Caller ID is a shareware program that actually talks to you, telling you who is calling before you pick up the phone. You must subscribe to the caller id service from your local phone company and have a caller id capable modem or other supported caller id computer hardware device. The program supports TAPI which lets you share your modem with other programs that use your modem. It can also work with 2 phone lines at the same time.
