Description
I've been using VMware Workstation Player for a few years now and it has been a great virtualization tool. It's easy to use and has a lot of features that make it a great choice for running multiple operating systems or testing out new software. The ability to store virtual disks as single files or split them is especially useful. The 8 TB of hard drive space is more than enough for my needs. Overall, I'm very satisfied with VMware Workstation Player and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable virtualization solution.
There was a download of VMware Player 17.5.1 on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. VMware Player is suitable for 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 2000/XP/XP Professional/Vista/7/8/10/11.
We recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus. The actual developer of the software is VMware, Inc. The most popular versions of the program 15.5, 12.1 and 12.0.
The common filenames for the program's installer are vmplayer.exe, vmplayer.exePPowerDVD.exe, vmplayer.exexwerDVD.exe, vmplayer.exeerDVD.exe or vmware-authd.exe etc. This PC program deals with ".vmc", ".vmx" and ".ova" files. The program can also be called "VMWare-Player_2.0.2-59824_EN_v1.0.0", "VMWare Player Installer", "VMware Player Englisch".
From the developer:
VMware Player Pro is a streamlined desktop virtualization program designed for creating, running and evaluating operating systems and applications in a virtual machine on Windows. With VMware Player Pro, complete desktop environments including the operating system, applications and user configurations can be containerized in a virtual machine and easily shared.
You may want to check out more software, such as VMware Movie Decoder, VMware PowerCLI or VMware Consolidated Backup Framework, which might be related to VMware Player.
