Virtual Null Modem
Description
Virtual Null Modem is an excellent tool for creating virtual port connections in your system. It allows you to emulate multiple RS-232 items connected via a virtual null-modem cable, and you can adjust the interference for each connection. This makes it easy to optimize your data transmission speeds and simulate authentic transmissions and errors. Highly recommended!
Virtual Null Modem 2.6.2.913 was available to download from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. The software lies within Internet & Network Tools, more precisely Network Tools.
The Virtual Null Modem installer is commonly called vnullmod.exe. This program was originally developed by AGG Software. The most popular versions of the software are 2.6, 2.5 and 2.0. We recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus. You can run this PC program on Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10/11 32-bit.
From the developer:
Null-modem cable is basically used for communication of two RS-232 DTE devices with each other. To create null-modem connection between the devices you need to use two computers or two serial ports of a single computer connected with null-modem cable. The both methods described above are expensive and difficult because of many reasons.
You may want to check out more software, such as Advanced Virtual COM Port, Virtual Serial Port Kit or Virtual Serial Ports Driver XP, which might be related to Virtual Null Modem.
