Description
WinGAMESS 1.0 could be downloaded from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. The latest version of the program can be downloaded for PCs running Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10/11, 32-bit.
The program's installer file is generally known as batmaker.exe. The software lies within Development Tools, more precisely Web Development.

This version of GAMESS is constructed on top of the second version of the Distributed Data Interface (DDI). The new DDI is optimized for SMP clusters, using SystemV memory calls to implement distributed memory operations inside nodes, with network messaging between nodes. Support for processor subgroups is also included in DDI version two. The installation procedure for GAMESS now has a new, separate step for the compilation of DDI.
