Word-to-LaTeX is an excellent tool for converting Microsoft Word documents into LaTeX files. It provides a great selection of options for customizing the output, including the ability to convert equations to images or ignore them, select the MathType, choose the output format as LaTeX or XML, and select the document class such as article, book, or report. Additionally, users can save templates for future use. The tool is easy to use and provides a quick and efficient way to convert Word documents into LaTeX files.
Word-to-LaTeX 2.56 was available to download from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. The most popular versions among the program users are 2.9, 2.5 and 1.0.

Word-to-LaTeX is a program for converting Microsoft Word documents into LaTeX and XML formats (additional formats can be easily added through the configuration). XML output can be later transformed to whatever format you need (transformation stylesheet from XML to XHTML is included).
