Aliza is a medical imaging and DICOM viewer that enables you to open 2D, 3D and 4D images in DICOM, MetaIO, Nifti, Nrrd, MINC2, and other formats. Also, the program allows you to read and write images in MetaIO, Nifti, Nrrd, PNG, TIF and many more formats; read and write meshes in VTK, STL and OBJ format; read and write VTK poly line files; and more.

Not bad, especially considering that it's free (hence I boosted the rating). Suggested improvements for the future would be to: (1) pre-program some intensity settings such as for viewing bone, viewing other tissues, ...; (2) allow the user to save, edit and load pre-programmed intensity settings; (3) allow to load DICOM directly from a ZIP; (4) make the slices 'fatter' in the 3D view — currently the 3D view is almost impossible to read when viewed 'across' the slices; (5) make the method to load a set of DICOM files more intuitive — I was doing it by loading multiple files, which did not work as I wanted at all — eventually I discovered how to load them correctly (it is maybe just a matter of tweaking the menus).
