Doxygen is an excellent tool for organizing data for asset collections and projects based on various programming languages. It provides a comprehensive set of features for creating documentation for C++, Objective-C, C, Java, Python, ID, PHP, C#, and D. The configuration settings can be easily configured using the wizard, or you can enter expert mode to generate custom documents. All in all, Doxygen is a great tool for organizing and documenting your code.
Downloading doxygen 1.10 from the developer's website was possible when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. The following versions: 1.8, 1.7 and 1.6 are the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users.
Doxygen can be installed on 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10/11/XP Professional. The software is categorized as Development Tools. Doxygen.exe, doxywizard.exe or unins000.exe are the frequent file names to indicate the doxygen installer. We recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus. This free program is an intellectual property of Dimitri van Heesch.
From the developer:
Doxygen is a documentation system for C , C, Java, Objective-C, Python, IDL (Corba and Microsoft flavors), Fortran, VHDL, PHP, C#, and to some extent D.
You can configure doxygen to extract the code structure from undocumented source files. This is very useful to quickly find your way in large source distributions.
You may want to check out more software, such as Molekel, which might be related to doxygen.
