JabRef 5.15 was available to download from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. The following versions: 5.1, 5.0 and 4.3 are the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users.
The actual developer of the free program is JabRef Team. The program is included in Education Tools. We cannot guarantee that the program is safe to download as it will be downloaded from the developer's website. Before launching the program, check it with any free antivirus software. You can set up this free PC program on Windows XP/XP Professional/Vista/7/8/10/11 32 and 64-bit. The default filenames for the program's installer are JabRef.exe or uninstall.exe etc.

JabRef can be used to manage the list of references for your research papers. It can automatically fetch complete bibliographic information based on ISBN, DOI, PubMed-ID, and arXiv-ID. Over 15 referencing formats are natively supported by this program. Cite-as-you-write functionality can be used to insert references on external applications such as Emacs, Kile, LyX, Texmaker, TeXstudio, Vim, and WinEdt.
