LINDOS 5.6 could be downloaded from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. You can set up this free PC program on Windows XP/7/8/10/11 32-bit. We recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus. The software lies within Internet & Network Tools, more precisely Browser plugins. This free software was originally developed by Nick Manser. The following versions: 5.6 and 1.2 are the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users.
From the developer:
LinDOS is a TOS (Transparent Operating System) that mimics the look and feel of Microsoft® Windows and DOS. The goal is to be able to drop a Windows user in front of a LinDOS loaded Linux system and allow them to be able to use it with minimal or no confusion.
You may want to check out more software, such as LINDO API, LINDO or LINGO, which might be similar to LINDOS.
