Downloading SnapGene Viewer 8.1.1 from the developer's website was possible when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. The following versions: 5.1, 5.0 and 4.2 are the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users.
This tool was originally produced by GSL Biotech LLC. The program's installer is commonly called SnapGene Viewer.exe. SnapGene Viewer is developed for Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10/11 environment, 32 and 64-bit versions. SnapGene Viewer lies within Education Tools, more precisely Science Tools.

SnapGene Viewer allows you to create, browse, and share richly annotated DNA sequence files up to 1 Gbp in length. It provides an interactive interface where you can customize the display of enzyme sites, features, primers, ORFs, DNA colors, etc. You can easily make insertions, deletions, replacements, and case changes from this program; when a sequence is copied and pasted, features are automatically transferred.
