There was a download of vPilot 3.8.1 on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. This free software was originally designed by Metacraft. The most popular versions of the program are 2.6, 2.1 and 2.0.
We recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus. This free PC software was developed to work on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 or Windows 11 and is compatible with 32-bit systems. VPilot is included in Games. The common filenames for the program's installer are vPilot.exe or xdb.exe etc.
From the developer:
vPilot can be used to connect Microsoft Flight Simulator 10 (FSX) to the VATSIM network. It is a very basic pilot client with a limited feature set. You can transmit/receive on both COM radios. It reads transponder code from FSX; it can also read transponder mode from FSX if the aircraft supports the SquawkBox FSUIPC offsets.
You may want to check out more software, such as IvAp, SimTractor or Jewelleria, which might be related to vPilot.
