There was a download of eSpeak 1.48.04 on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. This free software was originally produced by Free Software Foundation, Inc.
This free PC software was developed to work on Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 or Windows 11 and is compatible with 32-bit systems. The software lies within Office Tools, more precisely Document management.
The default filenames for the program's installer are espeak.exe or TTSApp.exe etc. We cannot guarantee that the program is safe to download as it will be downloaded from the developer's website. Before launching the program, check it with any free antivirus software. The most popular version of the tool 1.4.

eSpeak is a compact open source software speech synthesizer for English and other languages, for Linux and Windows.
eSpeak uses a "formant synthesis" method. This allows many languages to be provided in a small size. The speech is clear, and can be used at high speeds, but is not as natural or smooth as larger synthesizers which are based on human speech recordings.
