Description

Modify and manage your documents or other types of text files by scanning them with the utility containing a database for verification and reference. It highlights common errors in syntax, sentence composition, the use of adverbs, passive voice, and specific terms.

Hemingway Editor 3.0.3 for Mac could be downloaded from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available.

According to the results of the Google Safe Browsing check, the developer's site is safe. Despite this, we recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus software. The software relates to Productivity Tools. This Mac app is a product of Hemingway Ltd.

From the developer:

Hemingway Editor is an application that highlights common errors. You may use it to catch wordy sentences, adverbs, passive voice, and dull, complicated words. You can use it anywhere, since no Internet connection is required.

Now you can use Hemingway Editor as your primary text editor. No more writing in one app, pasting the text into Hemingway, and then back into your writing app.

You may want to check out more Mac applications, such as MovieMator Free Mac Video Editor, Plain Text Editor or Wave Editor, which might be related to Hemingway Editor.

Sometimes when I write (especially if it’s over 500 words), I make the same point several times. Or worse, when I use bullets, I might repeat the same sentence structure for each point. In my experience, Hemingway doesn’t give suggestionson this kind of repetition. If anyone else has has this issue, INK suggests that I change my sentences if they sound too much alike.
