Simplicity at its finest. Hemingway doesn't waste your time with 25 options for adverbs, passive voice, hard-to-read sentences. It gives you the count so you can go fix it. Maintain your own voice. But make it easier and more entertaining to read.

I can see the appeal for formal business writing, and essays. Stuff without much flavor. But I honestly can't recommend it to fiction writers. If you are one, I say don't bother unless you only really use it to see if you overuse adverbs.
