powershot is a straightforward application that helps you take captures of your screen. The snapshots can be easily taken, simply be using a shortcut keys. Once the screenshot is taken, you can save it to Mac clipboard or as a file. It is also possible to add annotations, which you might find useful for highlighting specific areas.
