Assign priorities to all kinds of processes on a Mac. Automatically determine the current CPU load for all active elements, then calculate the optimal and minimal amount of resources for every activity. Switch between different processes and check their system IDs.

You could have downloaded Renicer 1.5.2 for Mac from our software library for free. The actual developer of this Mac application is Northern Softworks. This program's bundle is identified as com.northernsw.Renicer. The most frequent installer filename for the program is: renicer.dmg. You can run this application on Mac OS X 10.4.0 or later. Renicer for Mac lies within System Tools, more precisely System Optimization. The most popular version of Renicer for Mac is 1.5.

From the developer:

This program allows users to assign priorities to processes with the Renice command. Higher priority processes get more CPU time and vice versa. The downside is that you have to use the terminal, and you have to know the renice syntax, process ID's, etc. Renicer is designed to run in the background, and automatically prioritizes whatever application is in front and it also ups the priority of the Finder, Dock, and Window Server.

You may want to check out more Mac applications, such as ProcessRenicer or CPUSetter, which might be similar to Renicer.
