Your data is safe as no items are deleted. You can create multiple archives and restore them whenever you need, maintaining the original icon locations.
Downloading Tidytop 1.1.2 for Mac from the developer's website was possible when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available. The software lies within System Tools, more precisely System Optimization. According to the results of the Google Safe Browsing check, the developer's site is safe. TidyTop moves all or selected items from your desktop into an archive folder which is still accessible from the Finder or other applications. No data is deleted.
