ABarcode for Access 2000-2010

ABarcode for Access 2000-2010 is a versatile Access add-in developed by ABarCode Software designed to enhance document management capabilities within Office Tools. The latest version, 10.2.3, is highly effective for printing bar codes in any Access report. This add-in is compatible with a wide range of operating systems including Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10, and 11.

What distinguishes ABarcode for Access 2000-2010 is its ability to seamlessly integrate with Access reports. The program hides the text boxes during report printing and draws their contents as barcode symbols. These symbols are meticulously placed in the same position as the original text boxes, maintaining their dimensions, color, and font. Once printed, bar code symbols can be decoded by various barcode readers such as a light pen, CCD scanner, or laser gun, and entered back into the computer in human-readable form.

The ABarcode wizard makes it simple to set up and customize any other symbol specifications, ensuring ease of use. Users can download the free version to test its functionality. Importantly, the program is available in multiple versions, with version 10.2 being one of the prior releases.

Pros:

• Easy integration with Access reports
• Customizable bar code symbols
• Compatible across multiple Windows operating systems

Cons:

• Limited to Access 2000-2010
• May require a learning curve for new users
