This free tool was originally produced by INRIA and W3C®. The most popular versions among the program users are 11.4, 11.3 and 11.2. This free PC software can work with the following extensions: ".htm", ".xml" or ".css". The program's installer file is commonly found as amaya.exe.

From the developer:

Amaya is a complete web browsing and authoring environment.
Amaya is a Web editor, i.e. a tool used to create and update documents directly on the Web. Browsing features are seamlessly integrated with the editing and remote access features in a uniform environment. This follows the original vision of the Web as a space for collaboration and not just a one-way publishing medium.
Using Amaya you can create Web pages and upload them onto a server.

You may want to check out more software, such as FlashDevelop, MinGW or Minimal SYStem, which might be related to Amaya.
