Review
Portrait+ is a rather full-featured portrait photo editor. One of its most awesome features is that the program automatically detects face features. When I uploaded an image the program adjusted the key points quite right, I made only slight corrections. It is necessary that the facial features are detected in the right way as it will directly influence the way you can apply such effects as cheek lifting, nose enhancing, face slimming, smile deepening or eyes enlarging.
You can choose the level of enhancement for each effect, thus if you apply a small smile it will look great while a broad one quiet artificial. The same thing happens to eyes – the most intensive effect of eyes enlarging will almost imitate Lady Gaga's “big-eyed” look.
The program offers quite a nice range of other features. It allows to apply various make-up elements such as eye lashes, eye liners, blush on cheeks as well as chose the colour of skin, eyes, lips and teeth. There are also various combined filters that allow you to automatically apply several effects at a time to see the whole picture while saving your time. You can also choose to view the original photo and the resulted one so that it would be easy to compare them both.
One of its another great features is batch processing, you can apply the same effects to several photos.
I can say that Portrait+ is a rather easy-to-use utility, its interface is intuitive for a photo editor and the descriptions of the effects are quite self-explanatory.
The program can be used as an independent utility as well as a Photoshop plug-in. There is no expiration date for the trial version, but it will put a watermark in all the photos, you can buy the full version for USD 179.99.
